i know there was one fast tank that you needed to run just to keep up with  
it, but it has been geared down since then. not sure exactly why, but it 
might  just have had to do with having to run with it.
 
i think the problem with having a fast tank is it would be just as fast to  
be (or cause) a potential problem if you were to loose control of it or  
accidentally bump the stick a bit in the wrong direction and cause an unwanted 
 incident
