So Chris, if you discounted the Medium Machine molder because they
advertised it for "short" runs. I was wondering what about the wholly hand
operated and clamped machine at Injectionmolder.net screams "production
machine"?

Apples to Apples Machine Comparison: Injectionmolder.net, Medium Machine
  Shot capacity: 1cu, 3.8cu
Tool clamp force: ? (manual screw), 12ton hydraulic piston
Injection force: ? (hand lever), 12ton air/hydraulic piston
  Mold size: 4"x2.6"x2.5", 8"x8"x4"
  Cost: $1,500, $2,900
Cost per cubic inch shot capacity: $1,500, $763

I am in no means a champion of the Medium Machine molder. It's a bit
clunky and I can think of several ways to improve on it's design and cycle
times, but it's a Ford production line compared to the Injectionmolder.net
hobby machine.
