dont underestimate pawn shops. the ones locally have some decent quality guns that can cost 100+ in store for less then 50, and you dont even need that good of quality for this since most of the gun is removed. you can pick up some cheaper brands for 30 or less. they usually will also work with the price, so if your negotiating skills are up to par, you can get a better deal.
you may also spot some other items that could be of use here, of note is power tools which are a dime a dozen in these shops, they tend to be good for if nothign else their motors.
