A layer of paper and resin may be all that is needed to strenthen the paper mache. The paper should be easier to work with than fiberglass. I have some progress of two tanks that myself and my students are making. We currently have four tanks under way but only two are worth posting at this point. Tank No 1 is a British scorpion. a fine young man named Joe ( aged 13 ) is in charge of this beauty. You will notice that Ive started using paper mache as a build material. this has the advantage of giving the kids plenty of work to do that I can just let them get on with and its very cheap. I plan to add layer upon layer until it is rigid enough. We are about to start work on the paper mache turret when I have completed the basic mold. The paper mache turret can later be glassed if we decide its too weak. Ill add progress as its made. Neil R -- You are currently subscribed to the "R/C Tank Combat" group.
