The FOA Panther development chassis is currently equipped with a one to one
reduction to the drive axles. The system will support up to a two to one
reduction which would drop the Panther down to 4.5mph or so.

The new FOA drive system is designed to be a universal module that will
drop into any hull (FOA or otherwise) with a minimum of 10" inside width
and 5" height. The module supports 250 or 450 watt motors and builder
select-able reduction. The outputs are keyed 5/8" industrial shafts that
are cut to the desired length by the builder. The module requires only two
mounting points and minimal structural integrity from the hull. It will be
offered as a stand alone kit.
