mom and i were just watching a recording of Travel Channel's RIDE-iculous (ep. 4) and they were showing a place in Jersy City, NJ called Pole Position Raceway. they have electric race cars that have 18 hp motors that can be recharged in 6-12 minutes. i'm sure they are a bit too costly at this time for (almost) anyone's build, but just thought it would be interesting to find out more about these motors & batteries - might be something to follow? the recharging time is what caught my attention and thought how that might benefit things here in some way
