Frank,

I'm considering coming to your "fall battle" in Gettysburg. I would bring
one or two tanks: The Tiger and potentially M1A2. The combat Tiger will be
in Michigan next week with a Robot outfit to install cameras and latest
control systems (wifi, ipad, game controllers). We are now finished with the
suspension system, motorization, turret rotation and now marker elevation
(thanks to Steve!).

My questions are:
1. Is Harrisburg the airport to fly in?
2. What time should I be "on the field"? Friday night? Or Saturday morning?
3. When does the "fun ends"? should I get a flight back on Monday?

I will most likely get a hotel room around and get my own transportation.

Please let me now as I'd like to get my reservations

Cheers,
Loic Anthian

Subject: Re: [TANKS] Battle Quiz

The Mid-Atlantic Fall Battle is scheduled for Sept 28-29, 2013 in
Gettysburg, PA. Two days of battling is currently scheduled, in order to
give our esteemed visitors from elsewhere in North America and from across
the pond time to experience it all. We'll be cooking lunch both days and
Saturday night dinner at the farmhouse. Battlers may overnight at the
farmhouse if they desire or find a local motel room.

Since this year is (a) the 200th anniversary of the Battle of North Point
(when a bunch of Maryland farmers stopped Wellington's Invincibles from
sacking Baltimore), (b) the 150th anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg
(when a bunch of Pennsylvania farmers stopped the Confederate
Army) and (c) the 10th anniversary of the First Tyng Invitational (when a
bunch of crazy modelers fought each other), the fall battle could be the
largest R/C tank event ever held, anywhere in the world. We're expecting a
visit from two U.K. battlers (Sir Funky and his escort), as well as others
from the U.S. northeast and southeast. We'll have plenty of assets
available for visitors to use during the battles.

Plan now to be a part of history.
