Was firing intermittently, and more than 1 ball was entering the gun tube. Changed out 9 volt to a fresher one, diassembled marker and found that the detent plastic frame had cracked. Luckily I had brought along another marker with the proper plate to exchange out. Tested all, was fine, install marker, intermittent problem resurfaces. Tear it down again, clean all parts thoroughly, replace spring, retest, okay, install, problem resurfaces later in the battle. After final battle on day 1, we track down problem to , the solenoid actuator pictured above. The pin above broke away from the bottom plate. Luckily Will had a replacement in another marker that I could borrow. We also found a broken wire which was cut out and reattached. Thanks Will. Foxes chasing hounds? The scenario- 2 randomly chosen foxes out in the field must survive 15 minutes. Advantages- 5 minutes to hide, unlimited ammo, hounds do not have the frontal hit exclusion. Foxes can work together if they choose to. Adversaries- the other tanks as hounds . Unknown factor- Bazooka Joe and the Flak 88- hunters of foxes or protectors? As the fourth and final group of foxes Steve and I backed ourselves in heavy underbrush. The only way in was from the front and the thick cover would not allow any shots at our flank to penetrate. As we had noticed from earlier hunts,Bazooka Joe and the Flak 88 were hunting Hounds not Foxes I guess they are Greenpeace assets. And they continued in that fashion. So the 88 set up in the crossroads and Bazooka Joe in concealment. These assets were allowed to move at will on the battlefield and were invulnerable to attack.. Side note, (this will never be allowed to occur again, never, never, ever again, according to a secret source) So, the foxes had prepared a trap for their domesticated cousins. Had to live up to the saying " Smart as a fox" after all.The fur began to fly after about 1/3 of the way into the scene. At one juncture, this intrepid fox, took advantage of a precedent set in an earlier hunt, and was able to take a time out while reloading. The hounds did not like this, but, a precedent is a precedent. In the end, both foxes were alive. With Paul being the first fox to survive a hunt, Steve and I were the first fox team to survive. Plus only one hound survived from their pack. Me likey this event. <https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-6O8liOfLki4/Uktphah5FnI/AAAAAAAAAAc/cTaMuqqFFMs/s1600/brit+invasion.jpg> > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > FOA earns some stripes > > Wherefore Wifi > > -- -- You are currently subscribed to the "R/C Tank Combat" group.
