My first tank is in progress partly as a school project, which is cool since we have the CNC router and other toys to play with. Hopefully I'll be doing some cutting next week now that I'm almost done messing around with Solidworks.
I've been seeing fewer of the modern and post WWII tanks in the hobby though, and even with the large manufacturers WWII is easy to find, only a couple make most war tanks. As such, while finishing my manufacturing technology degree, I've also been looking at starting a company to build tanks, focusing mostly on this era. I took an entrepreneurship class last semester which was fun, but showed just how far I have to go. The biggest obstacle is markets--knowing how much product you can expect to sell, and at what price. I've been working a bit on a survey, I got some feedback from the local small business development center, I'm asking now for some feedback from potential customers and others in the hobby I'm looking at servicing. https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/8B7HVR2 Also need to look up other places to spam with the thing. -- -- You are currently subscribed to the "R/C Tank Combat" group.
