I've been looking at these for a while and most seem to be shipping
directly from China. The vendor Nitbuy on Amazon appears to have the best
pricing on these (probably still China based). You can find lower prices
on Alibaba and their associated websites, but I'm still on the fence on
purchasing directly from China based websites. At least with Amazon,
there's US based resolution in case of an issue.

After conferring with John, these gearboxes use a worm drive on the first
stage and spur gears for the additional reduction stages. From my
perspective, this negates some of the advantages of a worm drive (minimum
backlash) but still offers a nice compact right angle mounting solution.
