FOA participated in a Science/Robotic Fair at the Southtown Expo center
last weekend.

We had a 'line" of participants wanting to shoot the tank! The Panzer IVH
had a malfunctioning Pico Switch for the gun, so only the Tiger I shot at
the targets! That's one reason I'm trying to eliminate the Pico Switches -
I found them unreliable, and triggering when subjected to shock (which
could be a safety issue since they trigger the Marker. The "Hero"
controller should replace the switches

After calibrating the laser, the participants were able to hit between 1 to
8 inches away at 50 feet! We will have to see if the laser calibration is
badly affected by terrain roughness during the "Spring Event" in
Gettysburg! On the first picture, you can see the "kid" aiming at left
target, bottom right corner - green laser spot!

I have attached a couple photos. More on our Facebook
page<https://www.facebook.com/pages/Field-of-Armor-Tanks/165372040259765>.
I will post also our progress in few minutes on the building of the
Pre-Production
"Hybrid" Tiger I on "Sixth Army
Group"<http://www.sixtharmygroup.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20518>

Cheers from Utah,
Loic
