there are some reporters that are told what they can and cannot say, but that reporter got it right. i haven't been to too many tank battles but i can say there was no safe place to stand as the paint splattering on my clothes said it all. several times i heard the whistling of paint balls flying through the air and it was at those times i knew it was time to re-assess my surroundings and what direction i needed to head in to try to keep myself safe, but today, there was no safe place. during the course of the day i was lightly clipped at least 4 times, two brushed past my left ankle - one right after the other, once across the back of my right knee (i think i felt that shot roll across my skin) and once in my front, left pocket where my digital camera was being kept (no worries Brian, that's not what it hit) but later found it was a master pattern that i stuffed into my pocket earlier that it hit - if it wasn't for that, it would be hurtin' (i think he was maybe 15' from me, if that). it was also observed that at least one tank was being put out to battle with some of it's road wheels missing (i don't know if they were ever recovered) near the end of the second battle there was a bit of confusion as to what the final objective was. what i heard was that if you rescue Barbie, she was worth 5 prisoners but when she was rescued, it was then that she was the last to be rescued and who ever could stay alive in the battle area for the last 12 minutes won the extra points. i don't recall how many times that tramp was picked up in those 12 minutes but it was a few times. while waiting for the first battle to begin, Brian had just brought his tank of the battle into the Smith Compound. I suggested at least two spots for where he could position to get some good shots while keeping himself the most protected (some veteran suggested otherwise and i feel that's what least to one of his many deaths/incarnations during the first battle). i also suggested that while waiting for the battle to begin he drive the tank around just a bit to give himself a crash course in how the tank would handle. i also suggested that Caleb move the quarter pounder back about a foot or so, so the navarone gun wouldn't hit it if he were try to fire any shots across his bow to hit an enemy target. he moved it back just far enough so that all 3 guns could now be trained on any one target. after that a new chapter in combat was made Chris
