The Forbin Project! Good movie and one of my favorite book series. In the second book we find an Earth at piece being run by the AI created by the old US and Soviet computers. For a non-violent entertainment, the AI converts the old human Naval warships into remote controlled fleets for remote controlled battles. If I remember correctly, Maryland had the champion fleet. Sound familiar?
