hello, My name is Chewy, Long time lurker, infrequent poster. I'm out on the tankless west coast, but maybe some day i'll build one of these tanks just for fun. Untill then I make due with 100kg combat robots. Nothing like getting busted up by this guy a few times: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NsgqllvbT28
Much of the motor and control technology is shared between our hobbies. Maybe some of the construction techniques too. I am currently trying to build up my own small machine shop, my main tool is a Cnc bridgeport. But, i'm trying to justify buying or building a large format Cnc router, mostly for plywood, plastics, and thin sheet aluminum. I would imagine such a tool would be ideal for making tank parts... Also, I am one of a few State Side resellers for www.botbitz.com , of interest may be their line of Escs. The 85amp model should be able to run most wheel chair type motors, while the 30amp one might be enough for rotate or elevate. I will match the botbitz.com prices in USD, please send me an email and i will send a paypal invoice. Shipping is fixed at $5 for priority mail. cheers, Chewy -- -- You are currently subscribed to the "R/C Tank Combat" group.
