Wow, that’s cheap ! Were they on clearance ? I was surprised to see Arduino 
stuff in my MicroCenter, too. You might consider picking up an FTDI cable or 
breakout board to use USB. It’s pretty convenient. You can still use the 
Arduino dev environment even with the programmer, yes ?

 

I just updated my Arduino software with the Bofor’s rebuild last week. Do you 
want a rotary encoder library ?

Walking through the DIY isle at my local Microcenter I spied Arduino Pro Mini 
boards for $4.99.  Then I spotted the programmer for $9.99.  Just couldn't pass 
it up.  I'm now a Arduino dude!  As I type this, I'm staring at a little LED 
that that BLINKS AT MY COMMAND!  LOL
