All true, but I find compact vehicles more difficult and expensive to build. 
Plus, have you seen the Locust suspension ? Ugh.

Hellcat?  The rules favor tiny fast turning tanks nowadays.  For American, I'd 
look at the M22 Locust.  In scale it's a smidgen over 2' and it's very low 
profile.  It'd be a challenge to build but with brushless motors and a small 
marker, should be doable in 1:6 scale.
