Mike, First I want to thank you for your service. I am glad that you are interested and I would like to know more about your design. Can you tell me if 3" wide tracks will be sufficient for you? How long do you think the track will need to be? I am trying to estimate how many treads you would need for your tank. I am hoping to get some tracks on a tank ASAP so I can see how they work and get some real life feedback. I have been playing around with the design on the computer for long enough and now it is time to get these things dirty and see what works or doesn't.
You mentioned that you plan on getting a laser cut interlocking hull. It just so happens that I have access to a laser cutter and depending on material I would have happy to cut the parts for you. I can cut up to 3/8" wood or plastic. But not metal. If you did want metal I could use the waterjet and cut them out of basically anything you can imagine. But I pay for waterjet time so it would be much more expensive. The laser cutter is free for me to use, so it would only cost materials and shipping.
