Frank,

I am also a tank and armored vehicle builder. My son and I have about 6
vehicles, all 1/6th scale WW2 icons. I attached a pic of a GAZ we made from
scratch.

I hope you accept us in your group and we'd also love to attend a battle. I am
working on my first paintball tank right now, it will be a Soviet SU 85.

Thanks a lot.

Mitch

This hobby officially began back in January, 2001 and has grown every
year around the world. Although most are still building, planning or
just talking about building the ultimate armored R/C vehicle, battles
are being waged and much fun is being had by all.

As the hobby grows, so does the need to keep members informed as
effectively as possible. The main website at http://www.rctankcombat.com
is just part of a network of many websites operated by members and
affiliates. A quick visit to any of them soon becomes a multi-hour
tour of some truly interesting vehicles, design techniques and, best
of all, people. Take the tour ... it's worth the time. And YouTube
beware ... more tank videos are on the way.

Google has graciously provided us with a more powerful and
sophisticated mailing list server and group archive. Capable of
handling thousands of members, it will be a useful tool for many years
to come. It is easy to join, easy to use and you have your choice of
receiving individual emails (classic mode), no emails at all (web
mode) or message digests one or more times per day (don't bother me
too much mode). Now, instead of doing battle with spambots on a
continuous basis, I can relax and actually read the messages :-)

The month of October will be a transition month, providing everyone
with plenty of time to check out Google Groups and give the new
mailing list a try. Aside from the initial sign-up and a new email
address to remember, there really won't be much of a change for
everyone currently receiving messages by email. If you have been
monitoring our mailing list in the past via the website, now you can
simply do the same from Google Groups.

I'll cross-post important messages to both mailing lists during the
transition. After that, mail directed to the current mailing list
address will be forwarded to [email protected]<javascript:>.
