So did the Australians until recently (2007), on their fremantle class patrol boats. And I think the US Coast Guard likewise on their patrol boats. Until the Typhoon and other computer aimed autocannon became the norm, the bofors was the weapon of choice for ships that needed more firepower than small arms, but werent expected to engage other surface ships on a regular basis or receive return fire.
