Hi All,

I've added a usb backup (python) script to the wiki at http://rdiff-backup.solutionsfirst.com.au/index.php/USBBackupScript

It does a bunch of useful stuff:
- manages multiple rdiff-backups to be run
- creates snapshots for LVM volumes
- is all setup by a config file
- creates detailed reports which are logged and emailed
- has a dry-run mode to help with configuring

There is also a udev rule there for automatically creating a consistent device name for USB backup disks with volume labels matching a pattern. It can also kick off your backups as soon as the disk is connected.

Enjoy,

Robert Coup
