Yeah, it's most likely a ntfs-3g bug, since SSHFS (also a FUSE filesystem) had a similar rename() bug. rdiff-backup requires the use of the "-o workaround=rename" option when mounting SSHFS filesystems. http://www.nongnu.org/rdiff-backup/FAQ.html#sshfs Perhaps ntfs-3g has a similar option?
