Hello, Both local and router systems run an up to date linux Debian testing (Lenny). I used rdiff-backup 1.2.1 on installed from its repositories. Only ext3 file systems were in use on both source and desctination.
I was using rsync.sh and rback.sh scripts from http://www.aulix.com/rsync-and-rdiff-backup Command lines: 1) /utils/rsync.sh system router:/ /mnt/data/backup/router/ --delete 2) /utils/rback.sh system router::/ /mnt/data/backup/router.versions/ 3) /utils/rsync.sh compare /mnt/data/backup/router.versions/ /mnt/data/backup/router/ --exclude=/mnt/data/backup/router.versions/rdiff-backup-data Should I test it more by trying to run step 3) without --dry-run ? Note: options compare actually uses --dry-run --itemize-changes for rsync.
