Yes, I'm running 1.2506, which is rather far behind 1.5012, the version that fixes that problem, or the current 1.5130. 1.2506 is the current Ubuntu Intrepid version. I see that Jaunty will use 1.2531, and there are no backports for Intrepid. If I hadn't gotten around the problem by moving to an ext3 partition, I might see if I could build ntfs-3g. As it is, I think I'll take the easy way out and know that it will eventually get fixed (or is it rather trivial to build ntfs-3g from source on Ubuntu?). I wonder (rhetorical question) what could have changed to make it fail.
