I have looked for a nice windows GUI for doing exactly this. I have

I will see if I can work up the gumption to start such a project.

Does there exist a WinXP program to browse a backup store made on a

and select and restore specific directories and/or files ?
As well as Josh's excellent web-based rdiffweb, there is also archfs
http://code.google.com/p/archfs/. Using archfs with WinSCP allows you to
browse a backup store through a familiar directory tree structure and
drag'n'drop archives files or directories to other locations.
