Hello,

For those interested, as I need to support old and obsolete versions of
rdiff-backup for backward compatibility for my customer, I've started
generating Debian packages of rdiff-backup for old and recent versions of
Debian.

I'm keeping version 1.2.8 and 2.0.5 for Debian stretch, buster, bullseye,
bookworm.
Same for Ubuntu jammy and kinetic. The package is generated using
Pyinstaller.

It's mostly interesting for Debian bookworm and rdiff-backup 1.2.8 as
python 2.7 got removed from the operating system.

You may get rdiff-backup installed as follow:

apt install lsb-releasecurl -L
https://www.ikus-soft.com/archive/rdiffweb/public.key | gpg --dearmor
> /usr/share/keyrings/rdiffweb-keyring.gpgecho "deb
[signed-by=/usr/share/keyrings/rdiffweb-keyring.gpg]
https://nexus.ikus-soft.com/repository/apt-release-$(lsb_release -sc)/
$(lsb_release -sc) main" > /etc/apt/sources.list.d/rdiffweb.listapt
updateapt install rdiff-backup-1.2 rdiff-backup-2.0
