Dear all, If anyone is trying to build the RDKit on a linux box with gcc 4.1.x (maybe higher versions of the 4.x series will work as well) and python 2.5.x, you can download the required pieces of boost in binary form here: http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=160139&package_id=246367&release_id=540773
the tar file contains include/ and lib/ directories and can be extracted wherever you were planning on install boost (e.g. /usr/local). Hope this helps -greg
