Dear all, In case anyone is interested: I did some modifications to the build system to allow the RDKit to be built on windows using MinGW.
Since there were a lot of changes, I did this work on a branch: https://rdkit.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/rdkit/branches/mingwBuild_15Nov2008 There are some (crude) supplemental instructions here: http://code.google.com/p/rdkit/wiki/BuildingWithMinGW I haven't run all the tests yet (some seem to get stuck when built with mingw, but I'm not sure if that's not my vmware instance), but the build works under mingw, linux, macos, and windows using visual studio. I will wait a few days before merging this stuff into the branch. If anyone has a chance to try it out and encounters problems, please let me know. -greg
