About the three things left:
* flex is unlikely to be included in the main distro, but if a I ever
find the time it could be included in the EPEL repo
* last time I checked, boost_foreach was the only boost construct not
present in the version shipped by CentOS 5. I started to convert code
to not use it but I had no more spare time to bring it on.
* Is python 2.7 really required? I know 2.4 is getting pretty old but
if we can manage to keep it supported it would be very nice.
Alternatively, EPEL ships a python26 package that I would use rather
than compiling from sources.
