Thanks for the input.  And…just for the record, Haiti although international 
happens to have the same electricity characteristics as the US – 120/208 
60Hz…..  That part makes things easier, although it is tough for me to get used 
to going back to such big wire…..

The Magnum inverter number that Bob recommended would not work for 
international style AC input power, would it? If not for that, the Magnum 
inverter/charger does seem like a good way to get a lot of battery charger 
value for the money. Magnum does show some international style 
inverter/chargers, but not for a 48 volt battery.
