Since we do relatively few grid-tied battery back-up systems (4 a year), I have no direct knowledge of only Outback and now Xantrex products. Is anyone willing to offer a comparison of the Apollo and MidNight Classic (I know it's only in beta right now)?
Also, is there any fundamental problems using a non XW charge controller with the Xantrex XW Inverter? I know we would miss the integrated monitoring function, using a the SC Will, please see what the Xantrex folks say about mating an Apollo CC with the Xantrex XW Inverter Charger. Tell them what our motivation is: that we would dearly like to design to 5-module strings rather than 3-module strings. - Peter Peter T. And the Classic from Midnight is almost ready to come out if I hear it right. jay peltz power On Feb 5, 2009, at 5:23 PM, Peter Parrish wrote: I seem to remember mention a while ago of a quality charge controller that supports a higher input voltage than 150 V?
