I have 4 of these modules set up on my shop, 45* tilt, 5 feet out from the wall, clear unobstructed back & I get 900-940 watts in full February sun. Red barn paint I have thought of using corrugated Alum roofing placed horizontally on the wall, despite what Sanyo says, you get a piece of foil faced insulation reflecting on them & the output really goes up! Personally if you have a site that one can take advantage of the additional light, the performance verses price works well in colder climates. summer time 750-800 watts. Inv is a SMA 1800 wired in series of 4.

Since that light is nearly always pretty diffuse, rails don't seem to affect it much. But you don't get much extra either way - I think the best case scenario I have heard of is around 7% more, and that was at a ski resort on pole mounts with a lot of reflected light. ............................................................................ ...................... Does anyone have data on performance? I have not searched hard but after moderate investigation I thought I'd ask all of you. Thanks, -- Jason Lombard Open Hand Solar LLC.
