I have seen modules with a sheet of Plexiglas or Lexan (expensive) over the top. If you seal it with something like 'LEXAR" it might hold. That sealant skins over but does not get solid. I think you could heat and bend plexiglas to fit over the sides of the panels to keep the weather out but i have not tried it. (Been lucky and have not smashed any panels, yet)
