I purchased the AEE tool for MC3 with the understanding that it would work for MC4. turns out It's a totally different set up. So I just bought THE recommended MC4 crimp tool from MC. yes, it was pricey, but I'm done with that issue, I have the tools I need in my hands -- next subject. db

We bought the AEE tool PN 094-00114 and it works great and has saved us a bundle and almost no wasted use wire scraps. We get black and WHITE, yes white, it made our inspector was very happy.

We are buying USE-2 , #10 AWG from  LOU MARKS & SONS @ 818.830.1007 for $ 0.22/ ft which is ½ of what our local electrical wholesale sells it for.

How Nice!

Subject: [RE-wrenches] MC and Tyco Connector Crimping Tools

Hello All.....just wondering if anyone has any experience, recommendations to share regarding purchasing a MC 4 locking connector crimping tool.....best price, where to buy, which brand or model, etc????
We have resisted buying one of these tools but now feel like it actually may pay off as we have a huge surplus of USE-2 wire left over from buying pre measured lengths and having lots of leftovers......also we have good sized job that will need many smaller lengths of jumpers and this may be the job which will help justify paying for the tool......
AEE has them in their catolog...not sure who else sells them...recommendations?
The one that looks good in the AEE catolog is the Rennsteig brand.....it can do all the MC and Tyco connectors.....
