This is basically a good old on/ off controller constant current controller like the venerable c30, only it is NOT adjustable. It is not a constant voltage controller, PWM, etc. It IS very reliable. From the manual: Charge termination volts is 14.2 volts, charge resumption voltage is at 12.8. I can mail you the manual if you need, I have an extra copy. Hardly any useful info, other than what I've related, IMHO. I've used these with sealed batteries, but I use B&B brand, and this voltage is within their recommended charge voltage range. Other sealed batteries might need lower voltage set points. Also, it depends if it is being used in float service, or actual cycle service. B&B recommends a lower voltage(13.7) for constant float service. Third, sealed batteries are very finicky about maximum charge current, too. Lower array current might work with this controller, and a higher amp array might be too much, and you should go to something more sophisticated.

Fellow Wrenches,

Does anyone have a manual for an old Shell Solar RV20 PV charge controller? Or know where I can get a copy. I searched the web without success. I'd like to know if the charge settings are adjustable for sealed batteries.

Thanks,
