Bob, fellow wrenches --

Please keep in mind that old, 12 volt, non-UL PV modules can have an *extremely* positive impact in under-developed parts of the world. I witnessed this first-hand while doing wind power consulting on the remote Caribbean coast of Nicaragua. A few old junker 20-watt Arcos can allow a vaccine refrigerator and clinic lighting to be installed where none was possible before.

Contact me off-list for suggestions of which NGOs to contact. It could make a good tax write-off for your customer or you, and the charity will take care of shipping the PV modules to where needed the most.
