Sorry I was thinking a barrel roof was like a 20 foot radius of curature, sort of like a quansit roof.

The project requirements were to "max out" the PV component on this roof. As you can see, the south rows are parallel with the roof and subsequent rows have longer and longer back legs to allow southern exposure. The shading study was extensive to ensure that there was no inter-row shading. Each blue rectangle is actually two rows of modules in portrait. We are sticklers for providing walking room on a roof so the spaces in between rows accomplish that goal. I hope this drawing and explanation provides you with some inspiration.
