I have done it with both Magnum 4024AE and with Outback GVFX 3524 it worked just fine, The problem I have had is when the power that is AC coupled power gets to high the Grid tie inverter kicks off, it has been sujested the frequency shifts. If you want to do 2.5 kW then you would want about 5kW of inverter. Either two outbacks, or two Magnum 4024 PAE
BTW other wrenches have said this is a violation of Enphase warrentee. Hi Wrenches, Has anyone set up an Enphase inverter system to provide battery charging? E.G. the Enphase output fed into the AC-In on an Outback or Magnum? Have a customer with a 2.5kw system that wants to enable his system in the event of a prolonged grid outage. I understand the Enphase needs a grid signal to operate so is there a way to achieve that or is that like perpetual motion ;) Best Regards, Ron Young earthRight Products - Solareagle.com Alternative Energy Solutions ~ Renewable Energy Products
