Concorde's Technical Manual describes a low discharge recovery process. http://www.sunxtender.com/pdfs/Sun_Xtender_Battery_Technical_Manual.pdf See section 5.6. The jist of which is to blast them with voltage, etc. Please see the details. I have done this once and it works fairly well to fix the battery. Use a charge controller where you can program Absorb and a few PV modules. Good Luck! They were about one year old. They had no load voltages of 1.77 and 0.87 V respectively. I have ordered him a new pair but I wondered if they could be resuscitated to some degree and be used for some odd purpose around the shop. I tried to charge them using a Vector VEC1095A charger on the AGM setting: they took about 7.5 A at 14.4 V for about 5 minutes and then shut down. I am now desulphating them, which I think takes the better part of a day. And I then plan to run them through another charge cycle Is there any thing else that I can do to get them in some sort of serviceable shape? - Peter Peter T.
