Another issue I have locally is the utility telling me "you can turn it on to test it, but you can't leave it on until inspected and the meter is changed out". That is the extent of their policy. Nothing in writing, which is what I am pushing for. What do other utils nationwide have? Formal maximum turn-on / test / turn-off time periods before inspection? In writing? Or seat of the pants?
