Hello Jay,

If the XW is already configured as a single phase 120V, then it will 
connect to a 120V generator. But if the XW is configured as 120/240V, then 
a single phase 120V generator will not work.

I seem to remember that you can connect the XW inverters with 120v and 
they will battery charge.

Anybody know for sure?
