Hi Allen, I do not have a specific suggestion for this application, however I want to share a general consideration about battery desulfator. If the battery bank in question is connected to an inverter, which is often times the situation, then the filter capacitors on the DC input of the inverter will functionally filter out the pulsations from the desulfator. I first became aware of this from Christopher Freitas and I then check it out with a builder of high-end, high power custom battery desulfators. He confirmed that the DC filter caps would strip the pulsation off the DC battery buss. I have removed the desulfator for my home system.
So, no matter how effective a desulfator might be, it will most likely be ineffective when installed on an inverter system. Perhaps very small inverters might not have as much filtering on the DC input. I'm not asking to be convinced in this post. Rather, for those among us who do recommend and use them, what is your recommended brand and model for a large (1675 amp-hour) 48-volt flooded battery bank? A customer has inquired.
