While they were advertised as new, some at least arrived in obviously used condition. They are reputed to be nearly indestructible, but I've seen piles of used recycled ones. They do have some good features such as easy recyclability, and use KOH as the electrolyte so you don't have to worry about spills. If the price was good and they are from a reliable source these could be good.
