Wrenchers, I recently installed a 21KW system and grounded the roof mounted inverters to the steel of the building. The inspector pointed out that the steel of the building needs to be grounded to the Grounding Electrode that the service is grounded to which in this case is the water pipe. What size ground is needed from the Steel of the building to the water pipe? Is the same size GEC run from the inverters sufficient or do I need to match the size of the GEC for the building service?
