Darren, there is an old navy electronics man who designs climate and weather monitoring equipment for Kansas State agronomy. Of course, he would build all his circuits from board up and I believe there is no one more knowledgeable than Fred Caldwell
Research Technologist 1704 Throckmorton Ctr. Kansas State University Manhattan, KS 66506 Phone: 785-532-0415 Fax: 785-532-6094 <mailto:[email protected]> [email protected] Perhaps more important to SELF is the fact that he and the professor he was working for, designed monitoring equipment specifically for international students to take back to developing countries. It had to be cheap, reliable and still meet scientific standards. These are remote field monitoring so they are quite often PV powered because pollution from generators might alter the gases being tested. Give him a call. If he doesn't have time to help, he will certainly know where to refer you. Really a nice guy. Hi Wrenches - can anyone provide a recommendation or source for a weather station that includes a solar radiation sensor and data logging or computer connectivity? Also, are there any suppliers in the US that still carry 72-cell 24V modules in the 175W to 200W range? Thanks! _________________________ Darren Anderson | Project Manager Solar Electric Light Fund | www.SELF.org <http://www.SELF.org/> mobile: +1-778-887-8291 work: +1-206-905-9318 head office: +1-202-234-7265 skype: darren.anderson.self ENERGY IS A HUMAN RIGHTTM
