Marco, This year I began designing and installing Lithium battery banks, specifically LFMP type Li-ion's. The performance benefits and cost per cycle makes it the battery technology I recommend first for all mobile and most off grid systems.
GBS has test discharged their LFMP battery to 100% DoD @ 0.5C rate and made more than 2000 cycles with 80% rated capacity remaining at end of test. Contact me off list if you want to discuss more.
