There is a setting in some older SI that allows for generator back feed, no idea why. It's not in the newest version that I can find (euro). I had to fix a system ( not mine) and once that setting was fixed no more genny issues.
But overall I believe this inverter has a totally different way it handles the generator vs other inverters, ( it has to) so I'm not sure I agree with the email from Schneider.
