Mac, You should be able to add another BP-S next to the existing unit and just “add on” without taking anything existing apart. There is also a BP-MMP which only fits the Magnum mini panel and will not add on to the BP-S. If you look on the website you will see the difference in the mounting flange around the edge between the two backplates.

For an expansion to two inverters, is it necessary to pull the installed inverter off, and remount it on a dual backplate (BP-D) or can I butt another single backplate against the older one?
