I have an off grid home remodeling project that includes installing new hardwired, with 9v battery backup, smoke detectors (First Alert One Link). Tested them today and they did not work well on OutBack inverter power. These are wireless smokes that communicate with one another. They all begin to give false "smoke" alarms when on AC power, tested three times with same results. When disconnected from AC they operate fine on their battery power.
Is this a case of inverter power incompatibility? David Palumbo Independent Power LLC 462 Solar Way Drive Hyde Park, VT 05655 802-888-7194
