Sorry for the late reply. I did confirm what our customer support said which is the PAE models had the search mode setting improved but that was about it.
In the case of sensitive controls it is most likely distortion causing the issue. As suggested a 50mf cap at the appliance sometimes can help. There is a big difference in the waveform verses the old SW. The Magnum switches at 40kHz so not the obvious steps the SW had but switching still creates noise and may be sensitive to some controls. An early Magnum MS4448AE would not reliably start and run a modern hydronic boiler in an off grid home. I had opened a case with Magnum tech support, but the frustrated HVAC contractor pulled the unit and installed a different brand of boiler and the problem disappeared. In my own home my MS4024AE has nothing it won't run, and it's a newer unit. But whether that's coincidental or the result of an inverter firmware or hardware upgrade, I can't say. Maybe Gary Baxter can? MS4448 V1-00138 2007 The problem is that for the life of the inverter it hasn't worked well for things like digital/electronic washer/dryers, even glow bar ovens etc. I don't have all the specifics yet and haven't visited the site. With new units I've not seen this. Are there some issues with these older units? And if so, any fixes? thanks jay peltz power _______________________________________________ List sponsored by Redwood Alliance List Address: [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> Change listserver email address & settings: http://lists.re-wrenches.org/options.cgi/re-wrenches-re-wrenches.org List-Archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/maillist.html List rules & etiquette: www.re-wrenches.org/etiquette.htm<http://www.re-wrenches.org/etiquette.htm> Check out or update participant bios: www.members.re-wrenches.org<http://www.members.re-wrenches.org> _______________________________________________ List sponsored by Redwood Alliance List Address: [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> Change listserver email address & settings: http://lists.re-wrenches.org/options.cgi/re-wrenches-re-wrenches.org List-Archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/maillist.html List rules & etiquette: www.re-wrenches.org/etiquette.htm<http://www.re-wrenches.org/etiquette.htm> Check out or update participant bios: www.members.re-wrenches.org<http://www.members.re-wrenches.org>
