The two remotes are completely different from each other... If by SWRC you mean the black (typically) rectangular remote for the SW that looks the same as the one on the SW inverter itself with the LCD and the 4 big (ish) square buttons.

The SWRC has a bunch of separate wires in the parallel printer looking
cable  that communicate directly with the remote's
push-buttons and LCD.

The RC5  contains its own microprocessor and RS232 communications lines that
talk to the M or DR inverters. The DR and M (marine) inverters are very similar.
